Choosing Anthem Midterm Essay Topics
Choosing Anthem Midterm Essay TopicsAudience, Anthem and Exam Subject Areas each require an essay topic. In general, students who choose a subject area from Anthem must choose a topic that is not currently being taught. Anthem subjects include sports, American culture, history, government, science, language arts, etc. Most honors students choose a specific essay topic before they begin the class. Often, this is only a matter of personal preference and will be discussed with your instructor. However, if you don't know what essay topic to choose, you may want to seek out your instructor's advice.Although some honors courses may allow you to select a topic before you begin the class, many courses will require you to choose your essay topic ahead of time. If you choose to decide on a topic before you start the class, make sure you give your instructor as much advance notice as possible. Once you submit your essays, it can be difficult to amend them.If you are an honors student, it is impo rtant to choose your essay topic very carefully. There are several things to consider. The first is that many honors classes do not focus on sports or government as they do in Bachelors of Science. Your honors instructor may have a good idea about your particular passions, but there is little point in choosing a topic based on his or her recommendation.Your honors professor may also be more aware of your strengths as a writer than you are, so you will want to be very clear about your expectations for the essay topics. This is not a class in which you are expected to provide answers to questions and provide a grade based on your particular strengths. In fact, your essay topics will have an impact on your grades and therefore you will want to choose topics that can help you demonstrate these strengths.Generally, honors students choose essay topics that are related to their major, including any extra electives that they might have chosen. Essay topics should be either an elective or a special interest of the student. Many honors students choose themes and topics in which they have had little interest previously. It is perfectly acceptable for an honors student to choose an essay topic that is outside of his or her field of study. You should make sure that your honors teacher knows about the topic before you write it. If the topic is already covered in a class and your honors professor is not sure about the topics, you may want to consider a different topic. Most honors students choose from a list of essay topics, write a summary of their topics and then go back and add information to this list. The course book is usually a very useful resource for this information. After you have completed all of your essay topics, you should review your class assignments carefully and mark them to indicate which topics you have been able to complete and which you still need to complete.
